Section 1.2: The Methods of Biology

Section 1.2 Main Ideas-  Biologists used controlled expeiriments to obtain data that either
do or do not support a hypothesis.  By publishing the results and conclusions of an expieriment, a
scientist allows others to try to verify the results.  Repeated verification over time leads to the
development of a theory.
